On January 20, 88 faculty members and students from Ji’nan University visited Zhuhai United Laboratories Bio-Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“United Bio-pharma”) for an exchange and study tour activity. The event aimed to promote the effective integration of classroom theory with industrial practice through on-site visits and in-depth communication, while also broadening students’ professional perspectives and industry understanding.

At the beginning of the event, Ms. Ma, the Group’s Human Resources Director, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the company, warmly greeting the visiting faculty members and students. She expressed the hope that through university–enterprise collaboration, both sides could jointly contribute to talent cultivation and technological innovation in the biopharmaceutical field. Subsequently, Ms. Jiang, United Bio-pharma’s Human Resources Director, introduced the company’s R&D technology platforms, innovative research projects, and corporate culture system, enabling the visiting teachers and students to gain a deeper understanding of United Bio-pharma’s technological capabilities and corporate philosophy.

Exhibition Hall & Laboratory Tour

Guided by the company’s technical staff, the faculty and student delegation visited the exhibition hall and Quality Research Platform laboratories. During the tour, particular attention was given to the advanced testing equipment and the operational mechanisms of the quality research platform.

On-site Visit to the Production Workshop

After introducing the production process and the operating principles of the equipment, Mr. Huang, head of Workshop 101 from the United Bio-pharma, guided the faculty and student delegation on an on-site visit to the production workshop. The participants observed the highly automated production lines and real-time monitoring systems, gaining a more intuitive understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process.

Mr. Chen, Deputy Director of the Quality Center, delivered a presentation on “Pharmaceutical Quality Management”, emphasizing the critical role of quality management in drug research and development. Dr. Ding from New Drug Department II gave a special presentation on “Preclinical Drug Research and the Pathway to Industrial Transformation”, providing a systematic analysis of the key stages from laboratory research to large-scale production.

During the Q&A session, both sides engaged in discussions on topics such as career development and technical challenges. Professor Chen, Director of the Department of Cell Biology at Ji’nan University, remarked that the opportunity to visit and exchange ideas with United Bio-pharma was extremely valuable. He expressed gratitude for the company’s thoughtful reception and support, noting that the visit also provided important inspiration for teaching and scientific research.

This exchange visit effectively deepened university students’ understanding of the technological systems and management standards within the biopharmaceutical industry. United Bio-pharma will continue to advance the development of industry–academia–research collaboration mechanisms, support talent cultivation for the industry, and jointly promote innovation and development in the biopharmaceutical field.
