While urban residents enjoy the convenience of doorstep deliveries, the villages of Shabaishi, Gaolan, Feisha, Nanchang, and the Bayi Community in Nanshui—remote and widely scattered—have become corners where “daily necessities are hard to obtain.” For elderly people living alone and individuals with disabilities, basic needs are often trapped in the dilemma of “can’t buy it, can’t get it delivered.”

From November 18 to 20, the “Filial Piety Swallows” team transformed into an “Express of Love,” carrying carefully prepared “wish lists” and heading out in groups to the four villages.

On the afternoon of the 18th, one team arrived in Shabaishi Village, delivering a mosquito net to Grandpa Zhang, who has a physical disability, and helping Grandma Chen, who lives alone, move in a new rice cooker. They then rushed to Gaolan Village, handing a walking stick to Grandpa Liu, a low-income senior, and delivering adult diapers to Grandma Zhao, who suffers from multiple disabilities.

Meanwhile, another team ventured deep into the remote Feisha Village, pushing a wheelchair all the way to the home of Grandpa Zhou, who is visually impaired, and installing a water dispenser in the house of Grandma Wu, who lives alone.

On the morning of the 20th, the “Express of Love” set out once again for Nanchang Village and the Bayi Community, delivering walking sticks to elderly women with disabilities and continuing to bring care and warmth to those in need.

From anti-slip mats for seniors with disabilities to knee braces for those recovering from surgery, volunteers delivered every item precisely matched to each elder’s needs. They sat by bedsides listening to everyday stories, using companionship to dispel the loneliness of living alone. Warmth traveled through these quiet, remote villages, turning every “delivery” into a heartfelt act of care.

One bottle, one dose—safeguarding health; one journey, one road—carrying responsibility. Seniors may not always enjoy the convenience of modern logistics, but they are never without the warmth of being remembered. Every arrival of the “Express of Love” represents the delivery of both care and responsibility. Looking ahead, we will continue giving back to the community, ensuring that every act of kindness can cross mountains and seas, reaching every corner where care is needed.

This winter, the “Express of Love” delivers not parcels, but warmth. May remote villages no longer feel alone; may every senior be treated gently by time; and may each small light of kindness gather into a river, bringing warmth to all those who persevere between mountains and seas.
