On July 16, United Laboratories (Inner Mongolia) Co., Ltd. held the launch ceremony for its Self-Produced Diluted Acid and Alkali Project. The project strictly adheres to the principles of a circular economy in its technological innovation, setting a precedent in environmental protection technology within the biopharmaceutical industry. The project is being carried out in two phases, with a total investment exceeding 200 million RMB and covering an area of 7,000 square meters. Phase I was put into operation in April 2024, and Phase II was successfully launched in the first half of 2025. Once operational, the facilities effectively treat the company’s high-salinity wastewater, reducing stored salt by tens of thousands of tons. In addition, the project produces diluted hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and caustic soda for direct use in the production system, significantly reducing external purchases and enabling resource recycling. This not only decreases pollutant discharge but also lowers production consumption, generating substantial economic benefits and achieving a perfect synergy between ecological and economic outcomes. Moreover, the project has successfully received financial support from the government’s special funds, becoming a model for green transformation in the industry and achieving a win-win for resource recycling and environmental management.
