[Common name] Ceftriaxone Sodium for Injection

 

[Ingredients] The major ingredient of the product is ceftriaxone sodium.

 

[Indication] It is indicated for following infections caused by sensitive bacteria: lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract, biliary tract infection, and abdominal cavity infection, pelvic infection, skin soft tissue infection, bone and joint infection, septicemia and meningitis, etc, and for the prevention of operation infection. The single-dose of the product can be used to treat simple gonorrhea.

[Usage and Dosage] The product can be administered through intramuscular injection or intravenous drip. The usual dose for adult: administered through intramuscular injection or intravenous drip, 12g every 24h or 0.51g every 12h, the maximum dose level shall not exceed 4g/day. The course may be 7-14 days. The usual dose for children: administered through intravenous drip, calculated on the basis of 2080mgkg a day by weight. Those aged 12 and above should be administered with the same dosage as the adult. The recommended dose for gonorrhea is 0.25g of single-dose through intramuscular injection.
