[Common name] Imipenem and Cilastatin Sodium for Injection

 

[Ingredients] The product is a kind of compound preparation, its composition includes imipenem and cilastatin sodium (1:1), containing the excipient- sodium bicarbonate.

 

[Indication] It is indicated for infections caused by susceptible bacteria as follows: Intra-abdominal infection Lower respiratory infection Gynecological infection SepsisUrogenital tract infection Infection of bone and joint Skin and soft-tissue infectionEndocarditis.

 

[Specification] (1) 0.5g (0.25g imipenem and cilastatin each); (2)1.0g (0.5g imipenem and cilastatin each);

 

[Usage and Dosage] The product is indicated for intravenous drip. For most of infections, the recommended therapeutic dose is 1-2 time(s) a day, each dripping completed in 3-4 times. For moderate infection, 1 gram at each time, twice a day. For infections caused by insusceptible pathogenic bacteria, the maximum recommended dose for intravenous drip shall be 4 grams a day, or calculated on the basis of 0.05gram/kg by weight, the lower dosage should be adopted.
