Ticarcillin Disodium and Clavulanate Potassium for Injection

[Common name]Ticarcillin Disodium and Clavulanate Potassium for Injection

 

[Ingredients] The product is a kind of compound preparation,  (1) containing 1.5g ticarcillin disodium (calculated on the basis of ticarcillin) and 0.1g potassium clavulanate (calculated on the basis of clavulanic acid in each 1.6g of product; (2) containing 3.0g ticarcillin disodium (calculated on the basis of ticarcillin) and 0.2g potassium clavulanate (calculated on the basis of clavulanic acid) in each 3.2g of product; the ratio of ticarcillin to clavulanic acid is 15:1.

 

[Indication] It is indicated for types of bacterial infections with major indications as follows: Severe infection: Sepsis, bacteremia, peritonitis,intraperitoneal sepsis, infections inflicted on special population (secondary to immune suppression or damage), postoperative infection, bone and joint infection, skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory infections, serious or complicated urinary tract infection (such as: pyelonephritis) and ENT infections.

 

[Specification] (1)1.6g(C15H16N2O6S2 1.5g and C8H9NO5 0.1g); (2)3.2g(C15H16N2O6S2 3.0g and C8H9NO5 0.2g).

 

[Usage and Dosage] Dosage: Adult (including the elderly): Usual dose: administer once every 6-8h by weight, 1.6g3.2g at each time. Maximum dose: administer once every 4h, 3.2g at each time. Usage: Intermittent administration is necessary for the product through intravenous drip but intramuscular injection. Before administration, water for injection or glucose intravenous infusion (5) is necessary for preparation of solution for the dry powder.
